Production Safety Law of the People's Republic of China, Article-30 requires qualified safety approval certification agency to approve and certify certain equipment that concerns safety use in hazardous areas.

●

Regulations for the Implementation of the Law of the People's Republic of China on Safety in Mines, Article – 14 Equipments, apparatus, protective appliances and safety testing instruments used in mines with special safety requirements must comply with the national safety standards or safety standards of the mining industry; those failing to comply with the national safety standards or safety standards of the mining industry shall not be put into use.

Coal Mine Safety Regulations, Part – 7 requires use of “KA / MA permissible” equipment in gassy areas of coal mines; shall not be put into use for those have not obtained the Certification from Approval and Certification Center.

Valid in batch once –A formal certification issued by MA Center which states that the product or products has met the applicable requirements and the certification only valid for this time enter to China, applicant has to reapply once again for next time entering China even the products are exact same model,factory audit can be removed for this kind of application. (suggestion for low quantity and urgent application)

Valid in period of time - A formal certification issued by MA Center which states that the product or products has met the applicable requirements and the certification states the products valid in certain period of time. Applicant has to reapply when expires. (suggestion for high & increasing quantity and not urgent application)

For those who already obtained the oversea Certifications(such as MSHA、EU), those oversea Certifications can be references for further considerations but can not be instead of avoiding products random test and factory audit.

GB3836 is the Chinese national standards designed to electrical apparatus for explosive gas atmospheres

●

MA Center can approve equipment designed to third party standards (e.g. IEC) if MA Center determines such standards are equivalent

●

JB standards concern relating to MA/KA is under consideration

●

Ensure all required documentation is included with original application

●

Provide timely response to investigator requests for corrections or test samples
